My most vivid memory of the Peacocks was of Par and Zuzanna's last day on base.......he popped one of theses squak-happy bastards in the head with a pellet gun, plucked and gutted it, then cooked it up like a Thanksgiving turkey! ......actually....it kinda tasted like chicken......or so I've heard ;-).... I rmember Par telling me that just as he had "done the deed" a student rounded the corner and stumbled right into the scene of the crime...catching Par red handed! Ha! Perfect! I live in an area that is close to several colonies of Peacocks......not a screech-filled day passes that I don't recall the succulent yummy goodness and feel the slightest temptation to wack a peacock of my own! Sigh.......
