Actually Roland............ Sarver and I (Moonitz) did most of the pond throwing........... but Jan Zgazar did get me once...... The most epic pond toss came out of a ruse.......Do you recall Roland.......Lia Barata's last day with us.......we formulated a plan so diabolical and impenetrably clever as to amaze even the ablest spy....... well........maybe not quite all that.....but it involved Roland and I (Moonitz) getting Roger Harsh to help us cary Lia to the pond to chuck her in....I remember twisting around so Roger's back would be to the pond when we got to the edge....we lowered Lia to the ground as Roger said "maybe we should let her take her wallet out..." and then the shove.........I will never forget the look on Roger's face....it was almost like slow-motion....Roger's stiff body hovering for an ethereal moment above the murky water.....and the priceless look on his face....."I'VE BEEN HAD!!!"
Poor Roger! Sarver, Tressler and I really abused that inordinately patient man! Remember the peanut-butter/shaving gel incedent? I guess only Sarver and Tressler would remember that.......and Roger of course!
Well Roger....if you do read this....take comfort in the fact that I have mellowed out some since those days, and I am more often now the butt of the joke.....it all comes full circle! And take solace in knowing that we all loved you with all of our hearts.....how else could we have put so much energy into abusing you?? :-) So glad to get back in touch with all of you Harvesters!!
